Monroy Terrific in 3-1 Newark Triumph
|
Newark starter Wil Monroy put the Quebec City offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his slider in leading the Eagles to a 3-1 win. The Eagles, now 16-10, have won 4 in a row.
Monroy earned the win to move to 4-3. In his 9-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 10 and walking 4. The right-hander allowed the Admirals few scoring opportunities.
"Wil threw a phenomenal game," said Newark manager Hector Pina.
