Newark starter Tim Wharton pitched effectively against the Quebec City Admirals at Eagles Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The win boosted Newark to 15-10.

Newark got a clutch hit from Jose Bernal. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.
