Drillers Take Tight Tilt, 2-1
|
In a tight tilt between the Edmonton Drillers and the Mexico City Aztecas, Eric Scarlett was the deciding factor. The Edmonton right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The Drillers raised their record to 8-10.
Edmonton took a 2-1 lead on Kevin Wolf's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Wolf hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Mexico City pitcher Colin Mueller visibly frustrated.
"Eric's a gamer," said Edmonton manager Josh Rego. "Glad he's on our side."
