Shipman Tosses No-Hitter Against Green Bay
The Allentown Fleetwings relied on no-hit stuff from starter Chris Shipman to defeat the Green Bay Braves, 6-0, at Braves Ballpark.

"It's quite a thrill," Shipman told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it."

To get his name logged in the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit records, he stopped Green Bay cold and hitless, surrendering 2 walks and fanning 12 of the 28 batters he faced.

Allentown manager Eric Roberge was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Shipman "made managing easy today."

"I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter."

In 5 starts this season, Shipman has fashioned a 2-0 record and a 1.22 ERA.
