Winnipeg got a big-time effort from pitcher Robby Harris, but it wasn't enough to keep the Ottawa Capitals from winning the game, 5-3. Harris threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. The loss drops the Buffaloes to 10-7.
Ottawa used a timely hit from Evan Williams to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Capitals ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Nice win for us," said Williams. "Now we'll go after the next one."
