Admirals Win, 4-1, in 10
|
Led by Antonio Garcia, the Quebec City Admirals defeated the Allentown Fleetwings, 4-1, in 10 innings. Garcia was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Admirals. Sam Henderson notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 2-2. Allentown now has a record of 8-8.
Garcia had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch knuckle curve from Frank Cramer, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Admirals a 4-1 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Garcia.
"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Garcia told a local reporter after the game.
