David Homeyer was a major factor in the 5-3 Winnipeg win over Saskatoon. The Buffaloes catcher went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winner in relief was Oscar Angel. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Chris Rosario earned the save for Winnipeg, his 1st.

Homeyer had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 fastball from Ronnie Jacobs, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Buffaloes a 5-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Homeyer.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Homeyer.

The Moose drop to 6-10.
