The umbrellas came out during the Mexico City-Green Bay contest at Braves Ballpark.
The Mexico City Aztecas banked on Justin Torres and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Green Bay hitters in check. The final score was 3-0, Aztecas. Mexico City is clipping along at 10-5.
It could have been a different outcome for Mexico City, had it not been for Kaluka Mowan, the 36-year old first baseman . Mowan contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Mexico City up, 2-0.
In postgame remarks, Torres hailed his team's "single-minded determination."
