Canadians Lose By a Run at Newark
The Newark Eagles beat the Sherbrooke Canadians, 4-3. Newark pitcher and Olathe, Kansas, native Nick Wilder led the way. Wilder picked up the win for Newark, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Danny Beasley notched his 1st save of the season.

Terry Hendrickson had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Eagles. Coming up with the bases loaded and Newark trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single.
