Tigers Stymie Ottawa, Take 2-1 Win
Hamilton Park hosted a real pitchers' duel.

Tim Moore never let the Capitals get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the Tigers to a win, 2-1. The winning pitcher was Moore, now 1-0. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 6 and fanning 10.

The Tigers got a big at-bat from catcher Michael Queen. For the game, Queen was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Hamilton a 2-0 lead.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Hamilton manager Jose Gonzalez said.

With the win, Hamilton improves its record to 1-2.
