Schuerger Lays Hammer Down in 7-2 Win
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Tampa Bay Thunder and Atlanta Pilots.
The Atlanta Pilots went down to defeat to Kevin Schuerger and his Tampa Bay teammates. The final score was 7-2, in favor of the Thunder. The Thunder now have a record of 17-15.
Schuerger, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2008, pitched a complete game for Tampa Bay. Schuerger surrendered 5 hits over 9 innings and struck out 11. With the win, he moves to 2-2 on the season.
"Kevin is good at sticking to his strengths," said Tampa Bay manager Nigel Laverick.
