Loss to Texans Extends Miami Losing Streak
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Dallas Texans and the Miami Sun Sox, Jason Bryant, who is tied for 2nd in the PBC with a 1.24 ERA, was the difference-maker. The Dallas left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Ben Cairns earned the save for Dallas, his 2nd. The Sun Sox, at 11-20, have lost 7 straight games.
Dallas used a well-timed hit by Kamar Jackson to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Texans ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Miami manager Barry Lolicht.
