Manager Gholston 86'd by Tampa Bay (R) Thursday, October 25th , 2012 Tyler Gholston has managed his last game with the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder. Gholston met with team officials yesterday and his termination was officially announced today in a prepared statement from club general manager . "Tyler Gholston has done an admirable job here, but I think it's time to go in another direction," the statement read. "At the end of the day, we just aren't getting the results we want with Tyler and at this point we're willing to try to turn things around with a new manager." A replacement has yet to be named, but a decision is expected to come forward shortly. Team owner The owner of the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder told BNN that the team had only been contemplating a managerial shift in the past week. Gholston left the clubhouse quietly upon learning the news and refused to comment when pressed by reporters. |
