Pilots Cruise to Championship Cup with Sweep Saturday, October 6th , 2012 The Atlanta (R) Pilots outclassed the Washington (R) Warriors in all facets of the game throughout the R Cup Qualifier. The end result was a Atlanta (R) series sweep to advance to the Championship Cup, capped off by a 17-1 win in the final game. "We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said right fielder Raph Samson, who hit .571 in the series. Samson's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .700 on-base percentage and had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Atlanta (R) Pilots will play against the Detroit (R) Motors in the next round.
