Motors Heading to Championship Cup Saturday, October 6th , 2012 It's a sweet sweep for the Detroit (R) Motors and they have won the Cup Qualifier. The El Paso (R) Diablos were not able to keep pace with the Motors and dropped the series in short order, losing, 4-3, in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said El Paso (R) manager Justin Colliver. It's now on to the Championship Cup for Detroit (R) after their 4-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was second baseman Brendan Brown, who was named MVP. For the series, Brown hit .375 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Detroit (R) Motors don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Washington (R) Warriors - Atlanta (R) Pilots series. Atlanta (R) leads the series 3 games to 0.
