Brown Launches 3 HR for Motors Friday, October 5th , 2012 Brendan Brown went yard three times in a Detroit (R) Motors victory over the El Paso (R) Diablos at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Detroit (R) second baseman went 3-for-4 against El Paso (R) with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Motors to the 10-3 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Brendan Brown walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Mario Rivera in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Espinal in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Danny Gardner in the 8th. In his 2012 season totals, Brown has 27 home runs, .368 BA, .522 OBP, 72 RBIs and 64 runs scored. |
