Player of the Week Trophy to Castrejon Monday, September 17th , 2012 A hot-hitting week got Antonio Castrejon the PBC Rookie Complex League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The El Paso (R) right fielder slammed them for a .684 average, 13 hits in 19 at-bats, 1 home run, 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. In the postgame press conference, Castrejon shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." So far this year, Castrejon is batting .388 with 3 home runs. |
