Philadelphia (R) Loses Gonzalez for Year Sunday, September 2nd , 2012 The season is ending on a bad note for Franklin Gonzalez, reliever for the Philadelphia (R) Keystones. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Gonzalez was hurt against the Dallas (R) Texans while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn rotator cuff and will be out for at least 5-6 months. Gonzalez has taken the mound for 19 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-3 record with a 5.50 ERA. The Philadelphia (R) reliever has limited opposing batters to a .293 batting average. |
