August's Best Batter Announced Saturday, September 1st , 2012 Jorge Esparza has a lot going for him. The Miami (R) first baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the PBC Rookie Complex League has just picked him as its top hitter for August. In 24 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .525 with 11 home runs, 31 RBIs and 20 runs scored. Currently Esparza is hitting .465 and has collected 21 home runs, 73 RBIs and scored 48 times, while playing in 63 games. |
