Esparza Tags Cutthroats for 5 Hits Sunday, August 26th , 2012 It was a big day for Jorge Esparza and he brought the Miami (R) Sun Sox along for the ride. Esparza led his club to victory, 5-4, over the Denver (R) Cutthroats at PBC Rookie Development Complex, smoking Denver (R) pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The 22-year-old first baseman later called the victory "sweet." Jorge Esparza hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jon Brandman in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
