Season Possibly Over for Mike Herrera Saturday, September 3rd , 2011 Mike Herrera of the Lions just might have to call it quits for the season. The 18-year-old St. Louis (R) starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Philadelphia (R) Keystones recently at PBC Rookie Development Complex. Herrera suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch. The Lions medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4-5 months. In 4 starts this year, Herrera has fashioned a 0-5 record and a 3.41 ERA. |
