Amateur Baseball Circuit Names Top Skipper Friday, October 26th , 2012 Albuquerque Coyotes field manager Aaron Simmons has brought a winning attitude to the team and the city. His no-nonsense approach, work ethic and baseball experience have paved the way for success. This season the Coyotes parlayed his managerial skills and some talented ballplayers into a first place spot in the West Division standings. Albuquerque finished the year with a 59-29 record. To everybody's delight Simmons was voted the 2012 Amateur Baseball Circuit Manager of the Year by the baseball writers. "Mr. Simmons doesn't take any nonsense. If you aren't doing your job, he's not afraid to call you on it," noted one of his ballplayers. "But the team wouldn't want to play for anyone else. He's tough, demanding, but he treats everyone fairly and doesn't play favorites. Nobody gets pampered on his ballclub." |
