Cano Wins Best Bat Trophy in September Monday, October 1st , 2012 For a rookie just breaking in, Ismael Cano certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the ABC Batter of the Month award for September. The 28-year-old catcher for the Houston Apollos hit .392 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 19 runs scored. This year, Cano has batted at a .348 pace with 112 hits, 15 home runs, 45 RBIs and scored 50 times. |
