Baxa Ends Speculation, Will Retire Monday, September 24th , 2012 T.J. Baxa said it's time for him to concentrate on "being a father and a husband" after this baseball season. At age 42, the native of Greenwood Village, Colorado has announced he will retire from professional baseball. "I want to thank all my teammates, the fans, and the Long Beach Titans organization, but this is it for me," he said. "I've got a lovely family at home I can't wait to spend more time with." In his career, Baxa has hit .251 with 293 hits, 51 doubles, 9 triples and 52 home runs. His totals also include 155 RBIs and 184 runs scored. |
