Cano 5-for-6 for Houston Thursday, September 20th , 2012 No matter what the Albuquerque Coyotes threw at him, Ismael Cano hit it. He easily handled Coyotes pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Apollos triumph, 15-4, at Coyote Park. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Cano's quip, Coyotes skipper Aaron Simmons said he "would take him up on that next time." Ismael Cano singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
