Kershner Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, September 12th , 2012 The Albuquerque Coyotes stopped the New Orleans Buccaneers, 3-2, and Dave Kershner collected a base hit yet again. The Albuquerque first baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Kershner told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Dave Kershner walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Berger in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This year, Kershner is batting .371 with 9 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
