Great Week for Providence's Chris Caldwell Monday, July 16th , 2012 Chris Caldwell stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the Amateur Baseball Circuit Player of the Week honors. The Providence right fielder ripped opposing pitchers for 12 hits in 23 at-bats and no home runs. He put together a sizzling .522 batting average as he knocked in 7 runs and scored 3 times. In 11 games this season, Caldwell has compiled a .488 batting average with 20 hits and no home runs. He has also scored 5 times and knocked in 8 runs. |
