7-Hit Blitz by Butler Thursday, September 15th , 2011 The 7th time is the charm -- at least for Mike Butler. The first baseman for the Brooklyn Atlantics hit the milestone against the El Paso Mavericks, helping his club to a narrow 10-9 victory. Butler finished with a 7-for-7 line at the plate. "Butler was a tough out," El Paso manager Jeremy Vance told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one." Mike Butler hit a solo-shot off Chris Gehret in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 9th, doubled in the 12th, doubled in the 14th, singled in the 16th and hit an RBI single in the 17th.
