Brandt Parks 3 for Oil City Monday, August 29th , 2011 Whatever Greg Brandt ate for breakfast before his game against the Brooklyn Atlantics, it gave him some impressive power. The Oil City first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Atlantics Ballpark. His home run barrage helped the Oilers defeat the Atlantics, 12-3. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 4-for-5, scored 3 times, drove in 5 and put on a display that history will remember. Greg Brandt hit a solo-shot off Vinny Osorio in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Vinny Osorio in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Roldão Quintanilha in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. |
