Eagles-Drillers Deal: Castro for Smith Thursday, November 22nd , 2012 The Newark Eagles announced a deal with the Drillers today, sending 24-year old RF Matt Castro to Edmonton for 32-year old 1B Mike Smith and 22-year old minor league 2B Tony Velasquez. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly. |
