Post Brilliant, Blanks Empires Tuesday, September 18th , 2012 In an outstanding mound performance, Ottawa Capitals starter Steve Post fired a complete-game shutout against the Southern California Empires at Empires Stadium. Post was the key to the 5-0 Ottawa win. The 31-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 5 hits and 2 walks he allowed. "5 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." Up to now Post has compiled an ERA of 3.39 with a 8-6 mark over 19 starts.
