Thomas Razzle-Dazzles with No-Hitter Thursday, September 13th , 2012 Danny Thomas relied on excellent pitch selection and pinpoint control to hold Edmonton hitless in a win, 6-0, at Chargers Field. "Nobody goes out to pitch a no-hitter," he said later. "We just go out and try to get a win. A 10-9 win is better than a 1-0 loss. My pitching buddies might not be too happy giving up nine runs but a win is a win. The key to it today was I mixed my pitches well. I kept the Drillers off balance and guessing the whole game." The 34-year-old starter rung up 10 strikeouts and 2 walks in whipping the Drillers. "When a guy is throwing strikes the way he was and is locating well, it is going to be a long day for any club," Edmonton skipper Josh Rego said.
