SPBC Player of the Week Named Monday, August 6th , 2012 26-year-old Mario Dimas sent shock waves through Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Dimas made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .462 average, 12 hits in 26 at-bats, 3 home runs and 12 RBI. Where the Saskatoon Moose shortstop goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Dimas certainly made his mark last week. So far this season, Dimas has recorded a .287 batting average with 49 hits, 6 home runs, 29 RBIs, 18 runs scored and a .322 OBP. |
