Baek Wins Rookie of the Year Honor Monday, November 5th , 2012 A good season in the El Paso Diablos bullpen brought Won-keun Baek the 2012 Rookie of the Year Award in the Professional Baseball Circuit. In 47 relief appearances he tallied 90.2 innings, 147 strikeouts, 7 saves and an impressive 1.89 ERA. The El Paso relief ace compiled a 10-4 record, walked 25 walks and held opposing batters to a .140 batting average. He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 18. Nick Beckwith of the Toronto Titans finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Dalton Propst of the Miami Sun Sox finished third.
