El Paso Shuts Out San Francisco, 2-0 Saturday, September 22nd , 2012 El Paso Diablos fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Sam Conroy blanked the San Francisco Peanuts, 2-0, at Garibaldi's Grounds. Conroy stopped them on 1 hit while walking 1 and striking out 7. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Diablos skipper Joe Peters said. "He was on top of his game in this one." To date this season, Conroy sports a 7-1 mark with a 2.78 ERA in 21 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .188 batting average and has 115 strikeouts in 129.1 innings.
