Martinez Crashes 3 HR Against Los Angeles Monday, August 27th , 2012 Whatever Danny Martinez ate for breakfast before his game against the Los Angeles Knights, it gave him some impressive power. The Dallas left fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at Camelot. His home run barrage helped the Texans defeat the Knights, 10-3. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-5, scored 3 times, drove in 5 and put on a display that history will remember. Danny Martinez struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Bill Salden in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Adam Nightingale in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off David Gandarilla in the 8th. This year, Martinez has hit at a .230 clip with 31 hits, 11 home runs, 22 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
