Bruins Hammered by Gilmore, Drop Game 5 to Aztecas
The Mexico City Aztecas have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Vancouver Bruins, winning, 5-3, at Bruins Stadium. Aztecas right fielder Daniel Gilmore was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Aztecas to 3-2 in the best-of-7 SPBC Classic Series.

A key moment came with one out in the top of the fifth. That's when Gilmore hit a changeup from Jon Drader for a 3-run home run, putting Mexico City up, 5-0.

"We're happy," Gilmore told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 19th , 2012 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
