Higgins, Diablos Wallop Shamrocks in Game 2 of PS
The El Paso Diablos moved to within one game of the Cup Qualifier, downing the visiting Boston Shamrocks at Inferno Field by a score of 12-1. Diablos first baseman Joe Higgins did some major damage. He went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win gives the Diablos a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Play-in Series.

Mike Nelson helped his team take an early lead with a grand slam home run. It came in the first inning, making the score 4-0, Diablos.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Boston manager Matt Mays. "They smoked us."

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Shamrock Grounds in Boston.
