The El Paso Diablos took on the Los Angeles Knights at Inferno Field.

El Paso second baseman Aaron Cotton was instrumental in helping the Diablos triumph, 5-2, over the Los Angeles Knights. Cotton was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Won-keun Baek in relief. His record improves to 10-4. Bill Salden took the loss.

El Paso went in front, 3-2, on Mike Nelson's 11th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Nelson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Bill Salden visibly perturbed.

El Paso manager Joe Peters commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."

The second-place Diablos are now 52-36, the Knights 45-43.
