Spirited fans greeted the San Francisco Peanuts for their clash with the El Paso Diablos.
El Paso pitcher Darius Hagen did his part in helping his team defeat the San Francisco Peanuts, 7-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. In 6.2 innings, Hagen surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 29-year old second baseman Aaron Cotton. Cotton had a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Diablos ahead, 3-2. For the game, Cotton had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
El Paso manager Joe Peters was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
El Paso has won 3 straight, while San Francisco has lost 3 in a row.
