5-Hit Barrage by Torres
Detroit (R) Motors second baseman Bobby Torres had a day to remember at PBC Rookie Development Complex, ripping apart the San Francisco (R) Peanuts and sparking the 10-8 Motors win.

Torres wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Torres told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."

Bobby Torres flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Daniel Ferreira in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

So far this season, Torres has hit .404 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 10 times.
