Peanuts Win with Late Heroics
|
Boston got a terrific game from designated hitter Rob Diana. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to San Francisco, 7-6. Diana was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, the Peanuts hiked their record to 44-35.
The Peanuts got a clutch hit from right fielder Chris Beveridge. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Peanuts.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Beveridge said.
