Walk-Off Seals 49th Victory for Eagles

The Newark Eagles beat the Sherbrooke Canadians, 1-0. Newark starter Tim Wharton pitched a gem. With the win, Newark upped its record to 49-36.
The Eagles got a clutch hit from center fielder Felipe Acosta. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Eagles.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Newark manager Hector Pina.
