Beekman goes 3-for-4 to Power Bruins Offense
The Vancouver Bruins defeated the Calgary Caracals, 6-5, at Bruins Stadium. Leading the charge for Vancouver was designated hitter Josh Beekman. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was 32-year old right-handed pitcher Wil Monroy. He tossed 130 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits. The Bruins have now won 6 straight.

Beekman had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 curveball from Ray Redmond, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Bruins a 6-5 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Beekman.
