Winnipeg Gets 3-2 Win
|
Starting pitcher Daniel Sarretti gave the Winnipeg Buffaloes a rock-solid effort. The Nettuno, Italy native helped his team defeat the Saskatoon Moose, 3-2, at Moose Grounds. The last-place Moose have lost 5 straight games.
Winnipeg used a clutch at-bat from Rich Pelech to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Buffaloes ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Pelech told a Winnipeg Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
