The Vancouver Bruins picked up a win at Empires Stadium, knocking off the Southern California Empires, 4-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Vancouver was left-hander Gouki Miyagi. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The triumph puts Vancouver at 44-37 for the season.
Pedro Morales, who is tied for 7th in the SPBC in triples with 2, had a direct impact on the outcome. Morales contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Vancouver up, 2-1.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Southern California manager Jimmy Brown said, following the tough loss.
