Buffaloes Get Extra-Inning, 4-3 Win
|
Winnipeg starter Michael Maya pitched well against the Mexico City Aztecas at Goldeyes Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 10 innings. The third-place Buffaloes improved to 39-42.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Winnipeg designated hitter Zach Rentz, facing Mark Birdwell, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Buffaloes the 4-3 win.
"There's no quit in this team," said Buffaloes manager Jonathan Gandara.
