The Ottawa Capitals beat the Sherbrooke Canadians, 12-5, at Canadians Park. The win was due in part to third baseman Curt Bunney, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Alberto Tapia notched his 1st save in 1 chances. The 4th-place Capitals now have a win-loss record of 37-44.

With Ottawa leading 4-2 in the top of the third, Bunney hit a sinker from Hui He for a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Capitals ahead, 7-2.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Bunney told the Ottawa Times.
