Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Winnipeg Buffaloes and Mexico City Aztecas.

The Winnipeg Buffaloes topped the Mexico City Aztecas, 3-1, in Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit action at Goldeyes Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Winnipeg pitcher Dan Frost. The winning pitcher was Frost, now 7-7. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8. Oscar Angel got the save, the 6th for him this season.

Making an impact for the home team was Lavan Katzir. In the bottom of the fourth, the 35-year old second baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 2-0, Buffaloes.

"Dan just settled in and did what he does," said Winnipeg manager Jonathan Gandara.

At 40-43, the Buffaloes find themselves in third place in the Central Division.
