Fleetwings Earn Late 4-3 Win
|
The Allentown Fleetwings outlasted the Quebec City Admirals in an extra-inning thriller.
The Quebec City Admirals got a sterling performance from pitcher John Hill, but the Allentown Fleetwings still prevailed, 4-3. Hill threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Hector Terrones, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-5. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings.
The Fleetwings got a clutch hit from right fielder Chris Kayser. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Fleetwings.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Kayser.
The Fleetwings sit in second place in the East Division with a record of 45-38.
